The nicer neighbors looked out for him by calling the police and not letting him get away with stuff, but that only made matters worse. He skipped school, smoked, and became a thief all before high school. After being an accomplice to armed robbery two years ago, Cale was sent to juvenile detention for a year. While inside, Cale mother was arrested so when he was released on probation, both of his parents were in prison. On his own, Cale found a job at Pine Hollow outside of the city when the farm's owner took him under her wing. Cale is a troubled young man, but he has a good heart. After spending a year in juvie, he sort of cleaned himself up. He tries now anyway. He's not particularly social, very quiet and brooding. He goes about his work and that's pretty much it. He might just ignore you if you even bothered to speak to him. Anyone who happens to be friends with him will find a solid relationship. He's an excellent friend and will always have your back. He doesn't tolerate backstabbers, liars, or cheaters within his circle. He's not opposed to hook-ups and flings, in fact he prefers them to actual relationships. He tends to be flighty and will just pick up and leave when he feels like it with no notice. He'll come back, but no telling when. When Emma was just in middle school, he left their family for another woman, a woman who didn't even like horses. Needless to say, Emma and her mother were devastated, but they drowned their sorrows at the stables. Emma was never much of a competitor, but always went with her mother to shows and helped groom and get things in order so Janelle had nothing to worry about but the course ahead. It was when Emma was sixteen that she watched her mother crash through a fence and die after her horse rolled over her. Emma's life was never the same. She moved in with her aunt Regina, owner of Pine Hollow Stables, and sold their family's small farm and most of the horses. Emma only kept her horse Apollo and her mother's mare Faith, whom had only been with the Hamilton's a month. Emma is a very kind girl who is always willing to help around the barn whether with it be a student or barn staff. She's relatively quiet, but not shy. She knows pretty much everyone at the farm, some she likes better than others but that is to be expected. She's still not much of a competitor but will enter the occasional show just for fun. She's an excellent student and is attending the local community college part-time, spending most of her time at the farm. Emma is not new to the dating world, but she doesn't delve deep into it. She was enrolled into a private prep school where she got in with a bad crowd. She started acting out and experimenting with drugs it was a miracle she was able to remain in school, let alone graduate. Nora never went to college, much to her father's dismay, but married right out of high school. She never communicated with her family unless she wanted something, so when her husband began to abuse her, Nora sought out her father for the money to divorce him. He gave it to her, but then said he never wanted to see her again. With no where to go, Nora came back to Chaucer and Pine Hollow. Nora is a bit hard to explain. She can be either hot or cold. She has quite the temper, especially when things don't go her way. Yes, she's definitely spoiled but old enough to know the world doesn't revolve around her, although there are times when she feels it should. She's got a bit of growing up to do yet, but she's working on that now that she's back home. She likes to go out and party, drink, do the occasional line, but she's not a crack head or anything. It's all social. She's still afraid of horses and the barns so she'll rarely be seen there. Nora tends to be rather naive when it comes to men and ends up getting used without even realizing it. She'll put out not realizing she won't be receiving anything in return. She won't have many friends, unless some old ones would reappear because she isn't the best friend herself. He never really liked horses, or knew anything about them until he went to a private high school that had riding stables. He was planted in a riding class as a gym and things went from there. He always thought horses were a girl thing, but was surprised to find that most people on the team were guys. He learned a lot and quickly became a hot head on the circuit. This past year his father's company relocated to the east coast here in Virginia so the McLeans packed up and moved to Chaucer. Liam never had his own horse, so he's still stuck riding lesson horses, but he's an advanced rider and can pretty much train himself. Still, his parents pay a great deal of money for his private lessons. He may get a horse in the near future, but for now things are still up in the air. Liam is a hot head with a big ego. He's a talented rider and he knows it and flaunts it. Typical rich, snobby horse person. He never grows attached to the horses he rides, just rides them then hands them off to a groom or stable hand, as he's used to. Things like that are different at Pine Hollow, which he will soon learn. Anyway, he likes to show off and be the center of attention. He is vain and self-centered. However, he never picks on the lesser person. He'll be friends with just about anyone, if they can put up with him. He had no problem with paying for stuff, but won't be used for his money. He values true friendship. He's had a few relationships, so anything in that department is open even one night stands, friends with benefits. Whatever. He'll certainly have a lot of enemies just from his stereotypical rich boy self.
